Bio

Michelle currently serves as Principal Second Violin with the Philly Pops and regularly performs with The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. Over the course of her career she has shared the stage with artists including Jill Scott, Josh Groban, Earth Wind and Fire, Styx, Il Divo, Julie Andrews, and Elvis Costello, and performed at Carnegie Hall as part of a genre-spanning ensemble of young classical musicians.

Michelle picked up the violin at age 10 and never looked back. Twenty-four years of training carried her from the University of Washington to Florida International University and finally to the Eastman School of Music, where she completed her master’s degree. She later relocated to the Philadelphia area for private study with violinist Kim Fisher, and has called Haddonfield, New Jersey home ever since.

As a recording artist, her credits include The Black Eyed Peas, Kid Cudi, John Legend, The Roots, T.I., Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, and NFL Films.

Michelle’s passion lies in music without boundaries. A classically trained violinist with deep roots in hip-hop, rock, and indie fusion projects, she continues to look for opportunities where those worlds meet, which is why she is a perfect fit for the Philly Pops.

When she’s not on stage, Michelle is also a top-performing realtor with REAL Broker, bringing the same drive and precision to helping clients find their next home in South Jersey. She and her husband also own Alaura Kitchen, a homemade ice cream shop known for its rotating flavors, including vegan options.
