Magee Capsouto is a violinist and arts administrator who specializes in building the infrastructure that transforms ambitious visions into sustainable change. She brings a practitioner’s perspective to every role she holds, having built programs, secured funding, and performed at the highest levels of the field simultaneously.
During her tenure as Associate Director of Equity Arc, Magee has played a pivotal role in scaling the organization from a startup into a nationally recognized force. Under her strategic leadership, Equity Arc has launched groundbreaking national training residencies, large-scale convenings, and other complex programs that engage a broad network of collaborators, expanding access and relevance in the classical music landscape.
In addition to her work at Equity Arc, Magee serves as Grant Writer for the Philly Pops, where she draws from her expertise in funder strategy to partner in building the organization’s institutional giving program. Magee’s approach is defined by her ability to translate complex goals into clear, actionable strategies. This systems-thinking extends across her work as a storyteller and grant writer, empowering stakeholders to understand an organization’s purpose and potential.
Magee regularly performs with the Philly Pops and has worked with artists such as Andrea
 Bocelli, Jacob Collier, Sutton Foster, The Eagles, Ben Folds, Jessica Vosk, Wu Tang Clan, Tenacious D, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, OneRepublic, Michael Bublé, and Joshua Bell and performing in venues ranging from Red Rocks Amphitheater to Carnegie Hall.
Magee holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a Bachelor of Music in violin performance and philosophy from Furman University, and an Associates Degree from Bard College.
