On October 26, Philly POPS CEO Frank Giordano received the Philadelphia Music Alliance’s first Platinum Award.

The Platinum Award is given to an individual, organization or company that has been a leader and champion in supporting the music making community in a significant way. Giordano was honored for his significant contributions to Philadelphia’s music community, including his work with The Philly POPS, and the Philly Youth Orchestra.

The Philly POPS Festival Brass quintet performed in front of the Kimmel Center during the PMA’s Walk of Fame induction ceremony (during which The Roots, Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, Cinderella, The Trammps, Andrea McArdle, and WOGL air personality Harvey Holiday were inducted).

Giordano and the inductees were celebrated that evening at a grand gala event at the newly opened Fillmore Philadelphia music venue.
