POPS UPDATE 2.1.23

The Philly POPS would like to thank all of our patrons and supporters for their continued patience throughout the past few weeks.

The Philly POPS has been exploring alternative venues to the Kimmel Center after negotiations broke down with the Philadelphia Orchestra/Kimmel Center (POKC) regarding increased venue costs and lower attendance following the pandemic.

We are thrilled to announce that our scheduled February performance of Get Up, Stand Up: An Encyclopedia of Soul has been rescheduled at The Met Philadelphia for February 18 at 3pm and 8pm. All previously purchased tickets for this performance will be transferred to the new date and times. All tickets purchased for February 17th will move to the 8pm show, and all tickets purchased for February 18TH and 19th matinees will be moved to the 3pm show. We are preparing upgraded tickets and experiences for all previously purchased tickets for this performance. Your tickets will be available for pick-up at the concert. Special POPS tables will be in the lobby to present you with your seats and personally thank you for your loyal support!

We are very excited about this opportunity to continue our work as the Principal Orchestra of The Met Philadelphia, premiering Get Up, Stand Up! with Joshua Henry and Rickey Minor in our city: a city long infused with its own Philly Sound.

We are continuing to make our scheduled 2022-23 performances the best they can possibly be for our patrons and our magnificent musicians, and we will continue to update as soon as we have more information regarding the remainder of our performances.

Thank you again for your continued support, patronage, and patience with us. We look forward to seeing you at the POPS!
