The Philly POPS, dedicated to preserving and presenting the great American Songbook, has planned a robust schedule of concerts and activities celebrating American traditions of service and community.
The Philly POPS SALUTE Series encourages recognition of service and commitment through an expanding set of events and activities—each transformative moments of celebration for our community. The Salute performances recognize the service and sacrifice of those dedicated to a collective identity of American values and tradition.
The SALUTE Series engages with a series of partners ranging from the USO and the Philadelphia Police and Fire Departments to regional Veterans’ organizations, community centers and schools. SALUTE also includes a broad slate of smaller, community-based activities featuring the Festival Brass, the Festival Chorus and other POPS representatives, bringing signature POPS music to a host of gatherings outside the concert halls.
