Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Philly POPS at the Sixth Annual POPS Ball!

Please join us for an intimate concert, dinner, and an evening of dancing to the POPS on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Frequent POPS performer Tony DeSare will perform George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" — a song that was played at the first POPS concert in 1979 and often throughout the orchestra's history.

As the POPS marks an important anniversary, the 2018 POPS Ball honors Harry D. Madonna, Chief Executive Officer of Republic Bank. Republic Bank has been the POPS’ financial partner since 2011. Harry Madonna has provided unprecedented support during this period of growth and renewal. We look forward to recognizing his contributions during our 40th Anniversary Celebration.

6:00 pm – Reception
7:30 pm – An evening of dinner and dancing to the full, 65-piece Philly POPS orchestra conducted by Michael Krajewski, featuring guest artist and frequent POPS performer Tony DeSare.

The POPS Ball is the major fundraiser of the 2018-19 season. As ticket sales do not fully cover the costs of presenting POPS shows, the Ball provides additional support from our generous patrons.

To reserve single tickets or a full table, request an invitation, or make a pledge, please call Mia Serafine at 215.546.3234 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

In Honor of Harry D. Madonna, Chief Exeutive Offer of Republic Bank
Harry D. Madonna

As the POPS marks an important anniversary, the 2018 POPS Ball honors Harry D. Madonna, Chief Executive Officer of Republic Bank.

The POPS has been banking with Republic Bank since 2011 and has experienced great success in those years. Harry Madonna has provided unprecedented support during this period of growth and renewal. We look forward to recognizing his contributions during our 40th Anniversary Celebration.

A native New Yorker, Harry has called Philadelphia his home since 1972 and has valued the passion that it displays from his first day in the region. As an avid POPS fan, under Harry’s leadership, Republic Bank has sponsored both the POPS Ball and the Salute Series.

The Philly POPS tips its hat to Harry – a leader, music lover, and friend
